Optometry Services  We are pleased to have Dr. Jennifer Colavito provide comprehensive eye
care in our office on Wednesdays from 1PM to 5:30 PM and Thursdays from 8AM to 6PM. Dr. Colavito has been trained in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, complex eyeglass prescriptions
and routine eye care. Routine eye examinations are important since they can detect both silent eye and life threatening conditions. She will be pleased to discuss various procedures
and/or eye problems with you such as LASIK, glaucoma, and cataracts. Also, ask if you are a candidate for CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy). You are fitted with a contact lens that
you wear during the night that allows you to see clearly during the day without glasses or contacts, and without laser surgery!! Dr. Colavito will be happy to provide you with an eyeglass
prescription. Contact lens evaluations must be performed at her other office located at 539 Park Avenue between 61st and 62nd streets. Contact lenses and related services are NOT
covered by your medical insurance and there will be an additional fee. Contact lenses can now be ordered through her website address listed below at competitive prices with better
service. Eyeglass prescriptions may be filled at the Park Ave. office boutique at Virtual Eyeglass Boutique online where you can try on frames in your own home.
Remember to bring sunglasses to your eye exam since your pupils will be dilated and so your eyes will be light-sensitive for a few hours. The drops may also make your near-vision blurry
for a few hours. The dilation drops themselves take about 15-20 minutes to work, so plan to schedule a total of about one hour for your eye exam. Or, try our new Un-dilated retinal
exam at our Park Ave. office. There is an additional charge for this service, but it allows us to check for eye-diseases without the inconvenience of hours of blurred vision! You can go back
to work immediately! Ask about this revolutionary new procedure called Optomap.
