Hearing Test Starting around April
1st, 2008. we will be offering formal hearing testing with sophisticated equipment on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
When you arrive in the waiting room, you will be offered a simple 'palm' sized
self screener. This will be free of charge and offered to anyone who wants to try it. It takes about 2 minutes.
Hearing deficiency is very common (up to 50% of patients) at high frequencies in those
of us over 45, or those of us who have had a lot of loud music or earphone exposure.
If a hearing deficiency is documented, you will be entitled to a formal hearing test, fully covered by insurance.
This test serves as a baseline, and takes about 20 minutes, and can be done on the spot, or can be arranged for a later date. |
